Summary:
This position will perform general courtroom duties and provide security during municipal inmate advisals in the detention facility setting.

Examples of Duties for Success

  • Work hours of 29 of less per week
  • Work some weekends and holidays if court is scheduled
  • Adhere to policy, procedures, and post orders.
  • Prepare the courtroom for advisals, to include set up of audio/visual equipment
  • Supervise inmates during court advisal, escort inmates within the detention facility, search inmates and cells for contraband
  • Assemble inmates in the courtroom for advisal hearing
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with members of the legal community to include attorneys, judges, court personnel and other law enforcement agencies
  • Prepare a variety of reports
  • React effectively and safely in emergency situations
  • Participate in and complete 16 hours of annual training in the area of P.P.C.T. and maintain certification for every quarter. (Optional)
  • Participate in training in Taser (Optional).
  • Reports to the Transport Section Sergeant
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 
 

Qualifications for Success

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have correctable vision to 20/40
  • Ability to be assertive and self-motivated
  • A valid Colorado Driver's License

  • Break in Service Requirement - 13 weeks
  • Lactation friendly certified workplace

  • Duration - Up to 12 months
  • Weekly Hours - 29 or less hours
  • Break in Service Requirement - 13 weeks

Employees who work within the parameters below are eligible to participate in the the medical plan for the employee and child(ren) only as well as the 457b deferred compensation plan:
  • Duration - At least 3 months and up to 12 months
  • Weekly Hours - 30 or more
  • Break in Service Requirement - 13 weeks
