Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater
Kenney Jenks is seeking a motivated Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join our growing Wastewater Infrastructure team in Colorado. This role can be based out of our Lakewood, Colorado location with the potential to support projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as the technical expert focusing on water/wastewater process projects across Colorado and the organization.
- Apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses for solution development, effectively communicate with all stakeholders and job levels, and support projects focused on water/wastewater process design.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project leads to assist in projects related to water/wastewater treatment, including new processes, upgrades, and expansions.
- Support detailed design and project management of small to large process projects including, but not limited to, implementation of new treatment technologies, rehabilitation of existing facilities to meet new process requirements, and expansion of facilities to accommodate growth.
- Process design and optimization; participate in design and optimization of water/wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems, to improve efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
- Act as a Project Team Leader and direct multi-discipline teams as needed.
- Client and stakeholder communication; collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, compliance status, and other relevant information.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years relevant experience
- BS or MS in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, MS preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of date of hire
- Understanding of water/wastewater process design, regulations, and technology
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Some travel within the Denver area to project sites for client visits/meetings and to other Kennedy Jenks offices may be necessary

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $95,000 to $115,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
