We are looking for students ready to roll up their sleeves and help build game-changing products over the course of a 12 weeks summer internship at our corporate Headquarters in Cupertino. We are looking for students excited to help solve big problems and join a team with equally motivated co-workers. This is an awesome opportunity to work on early stage product development, solving real consumer issues.
The Internship Opportunity
At Seagate, as a C/C++ Developer Intern you will have the opportunity to help with a suite of next generation Applications that are critical for Seagate's Customer Solution Group. You will help with architecture, design, and implementation of key areas of our web ecosystem and work closely with our user experience team to build a great user interface.
Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build consensus is a must. You should also be highly analytical and detail-oriented, have exceptional design skills, and possess a penchant for helping cross-functional teams to successful software product delivery. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential to succeed in this role.
Our summer interns typically work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. The hours are subject to change with or without notice at the sole discretion of Seagate.
Our ideal intern candidate must be a self-directed team player who thrives in a continually changing environment and has the following attributes and experience:
Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and returning to school in fall 2018.
Experience and/or coursework with C, C++
Solid development experience with applications on Linux
Knowledge of socket programming
Experience with Makefile, build process
Strong attention to details
Work collaboratively with other teams in the company such as Product Management, Client Software, UX and QA.
Develop various application modules in C/C++ on Linux.
Help drive constant innovation in both product and process.
