As the Region Vice President you will be responsible for the overall performance of transit contracts within your assigned region. Through proactive problem solving skills, excellent team building, and priority management you will ensure the safe and reliable transportation of thousands of our passengers on a daily basis.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversees transit services that includes traditional city and suburban fixed route services, commuter express services, Para-transit services, airport, corporate and university shuttles
  • Ensures services are provided at a consistent level and in line with transit agency expectations and requirements
  • Maintains quality service and customer satisfaction working with other region staff
  • Responsible for strategic planning and execution of plan within region
  • Establishes and maintains open communication with the customers and managers within region
  • Coaches and mentors managers
  • Coordinates the need for and the provision of corporate support staff
  • Reviews budgets for the assigned locations and monitor their financial performance
  • Develops new business opportunities including renewals within assigned region and work with proposal managers to prepare and submit proposals to renew existing business and win new business
  • Develops opportunities to hire and develop new managers
  • Establishes relationships with state and regional transit associations and participate in their activities
  • Additional special projects and duties as assigned

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 10 years proven experience in passenger transportation or comparable service industry showing a consistent successful upward employment progression
  • Comprehensive knowledge of successfully managing a multitude of transit services
  • Comprehensive understanding of sophisticated computer software programs
  • Superb leadership and motivational skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; fluent in English
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork in all aspects of daily operations
  • Knowledgeable of HR systems and tools
  • Committed to a Safety Lifestyle
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer software programs for business applications
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately
  • Essential Job Functions:
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time while traveling
  • Use of full ranges of hearing, speech and vision
  • Use of finger (manual dexterity) handling paperwork
  • Stoop, crouch or kneel when performing inspections of any type
  • Bend at the knee, hip and waist when performing duties
  • Stand while performing inspections and platform training
  • Be subject to wet, cold and/or hot environmental conditions
  • Write reports in a coherent, legible manner
  • Physically fit to board vehicles and inspect vehicle condition
