Mortgage Area Sales Manager

A Mortgage Area Sales Manager leads the sales efforts of a mortgage production group by recruiting qualified candidates, establishing production goals and monitoring performance ensuring that individual and group loan production standards are met.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Recruiting and recommending qualified and high-performing mortgage loan originator (Home Loan Advisors) candidates for employment and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in recruitment practices, working with the Human Resources recruitment department
  • Setting acceptable production goals that meet or exceed the Bank's minimum standards. Coaching and mentoring performance ensuring that individual and group production goals are met and adhere to all First Bank policies and guidelines.
  • Working with loan production staff to ensure knowledge and understanding of all loan products and the underwriting criteria required for each area and ensuring that First Bank loan pricing guidelines and standards are followed
  • Traveling on a frequent basis to locations other than assigned branch/location
  • Providing input into group goals and annual budget. To ensure the budget is met, monitoring and approving expenses within the policies set forth by First Bank
  • Working closely with First Bank retail branch personnel to cross-sell products and services as opportunity arises
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
What Do You Need for this Position?
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in finance or a related field
  • A minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to drive a car or obtain other reliable transportation is required
  • At least two year of previous management/supervisory experience in coaching mortgage loan sales performance is preferred
