Job Description

The Deals Ops Analyst performs in a dynamic position supporting the Quote-to-Order process interfacing across several areas of the business such as sales, operations, engineering, order management, legal, finance, and shipping to ensure seamless fulfillment of orders with current systems, while identifying and working with the appropriate teams for process improvements. One of the main functions includes ensuring the correct usage of Trimble's operating procedures and compliance to corporate policies while moving quotes and deals through required workflows efficiently and with a highly professional and positive customer experience. Light understanding of local regulations and operating standards for contractual agreements and general logistics is necessary. Taking the initiative, strong math skills, and the ability to anticipate problems before they happen is essential for success in this position. You will be responsible for following standard deal procedures, providing escalatory analytical and process support to complex, non-standard deals, reviewing contract booking submissions for accuracy and alignment to our revenue recognition policies, and facilitating approvals from the respective decision-makers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deal Review (analyze data integrity of pre-sales agreements and booked deals)

  • Contract/quote amendments and preparation

  • New customer setup assistance and qualification

  • Coordinate and track new sales proposals submitted by partners, customers and sales staff

  • Work closely with internal Trimble approval team to monitor progression of proposals and provide supporting information when needed

  • Ensure timely booking of proposals and identifies proper stakeholders to facilitate orders

  • Strong business acumen, and ability to communicate and align with multiple levels within the organization to support the sales staff and other stakeholders

  • Work closely and efficiently with technical and operations leads to strategically fulfill orders

  • Manage, track, and provide timely updates to sales staff and customers

  • Should be able to identify inefficiencies and work closely with development leads and product owners to improve and evolve current processes

  • Manage and track post delivery/entitlement support for dealers and customers for software activations

  • Assist with invoicing, invoice deviations and escalations as needed

  • Support GTM execution with Enablement teams to build reliable and relevant assets that support the seller messaging and quoting activities related to implementing new products and iterating internal pricing frameworks

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of order processing and/or customer deals experience in technology/hardware/software environment

  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing and highly dynamic environment

  • Bachelors degree or higher in technical focus, Finance, Business, Marketing, or related discipline

  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Oracle ERP, Google Suite, Excel, Qliksense, Domo or Tableau preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Handles confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and good judgment

  • Increased understanding of legal, revenue recognition, internal processes and all other touchpoints to ensure efficient flow from Quote-to-Cash in it's entirety

  • Participate in new business integration activity

  • Excellent understanding and application of order processing related revenue recognition compliance

  • Demonstrated and professional negotiations, education and enforcement of compliance rules directly with customers, business divisions and sales people

  • Demonstrated healthy decision making in high-pressure situations

  • Understand entire workflow from Opportunity-to-Cash

  • Export controls and compliance understanding

  • Escalations to multiple levels of management

  • General understanding of other business functions within the company this team engages with
