About Trimble's Internship Program

Trimble's Internship is a full-time, summer internship lasting approximately 12 weeks. The Business Operations Analyst Intern will be working alongside our Trimble Viewpoint team which provides innovative, construction-specific software solutions to the global construction and capital project industries. Trimble and Viewpoint are committed to bringing information technology-based efficiencies to construction projects and their stakeholders, engaging in a highly collaborative process with customers to ensure every product and service addresses key industry issues.

The internship program provides college students the opportunity to learn and practice both job-specific skills, as well as communication and teamwork skills in an innovative work environment. Interns will gain first-hand experience with daily operations and receive hands-on experience working with agile teams of Engineers and Analysts with industry-leading, vertical software solutions in the construction market.

About the Business Operations Analyst Internship:

As a Business Operations Analyst Intern, you'll work closely with the team to align packaging and pricing strategy, guide product strategy, develop cross-functional operational plans, identify critical success metrics for our products and lay the groundwork for implementation. You will be responsible for managing key product metrics and drive execution working to accelerate growth, optimize product performance and transform our business models across our product portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive business operations and implement new improved processes

  • Leverage Domo to create automotive dashboards on a weekly or monthly basis

  • Help capture data necessary to conduct analyses and to identify and track metrics

  • Create presentations that clearly conveys complex analyses to aid executive decision making

  • Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and appropriate tracking mechanisms to monitor product profitability and strategy impact; and develop a dashboard based on these metrics

  • Identify areas of opportunities and proactively conduct analyses to gain unique insights that can help drive product performance improvements

  • Partner with Product and GTM teams to define and articulate the problems and analyze data to provide solutions/recommendations

Required Qualifications:

Must be a current college student majoring in data analysis or related field

Must be grading no earlier than May 2024 and be actively continuing to pursue a degree at the completion of the internship.

Experience using SQL, Python or R

Ability to utilize GSuite platform

Preferred Qualifications:

Student pursuing a master's level degree in data analysis or related field

Previous experience with SQL and BI tools

Ability to read and understand complex data sets and be able to tell a story from the data

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
