Farnsworth Group is seeking an Engineering Manager - Oil and Gas in our Greenwood Village, CO (Denver DTC) office. In this role, you will work directly with clients in the energy industry on a wide variety of projects involving refined petroleum products, crude oil and natural gas pipelines and associated facilities.
Job Activities:
  • Lead and grow an oil and gas engineering team in our established Denver, CO office
  • Coordinate and plan for workload of staff and project resource needs.
  • Technical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff.
  • Lead and/or support proposal efforts being able to work with multiple disciplines and subcontractors for developing scope and competitive pricing
  • Prepare and manage operational budget for department.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality on-time product for our client, and a financially successful project
  • Project development - provide technical support for the development of projects (conceptual through final design)
  • Expand on relationships and workload with current clients and support efforts as needed for pursuit of new clients
  • Plan and organize multiple large, complex projects including cost estimating, organizing work, coordinating the work of multiple disciplines and/or other project managers and outside consultants
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of departmental work as to engineering, design, and drafting quality
  • Coordinate with other staff, intra-departmental as well as inter-departmental, to determine scope, complexity, and planning and scheduling requirements of projects
Specific Requirements include:
  • BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
  • Minimum of 15 years of oil & gas experience with an engineering, construction or operating company
  • Demonstrated technical expertise, proven management, supervisory and business development
  • Willingness to travel as needed for out-of-state projects
  • Leadership and staff development experience
  • Project development and management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in project teams and maintain effective working relationships
  • Local project experience preferred
  • Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
  • MBA and/or PMP certification a plus

Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
