The Senior Product Manager will collaboratively develop the product vision, prioritize initiatives, and effectively work with product teams to deliver value to our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Product Planning

Focusing on a set of applications within an assigned product portfolio, plan and prioritize the strategic roadmap on a regular basis to ensure product teams focus on items with maximum value, ensuring there are always an adequate number of prioritized initiatives and epics outlined in both the strategic roadmaps and product backlogs. (50%)

Guide Collaborative Product Efforts

Actively participate in regular agile development meetings including but not limited to the following. Product Increment meetings with stakeholders ensuring alignment of initiatives amongst product teams for reliable delivery. Pre-release meetings to review and share product increment with internal stakeholders. Product Backlog Refinement meetings with the product team prior to sprint planning to improve clarity of requirements of epics. Sprint Review meetings to review completed work with product team. Work with product marketing managers to ensure all marketing collateral and initiatives are successful. (20%)

Develop the Vision

Collaborate with business leadership teams, other Product Management team members and stakeholders to develop product strategy and vision. Constantly and clearly communicate that strategy and vision to the agile product team allowing them to best execute on the plan. (20%)

Leadership

Lead and motivate employees to provide best in class solutions for the product being created to best align their contribution towards the products impact on the overall organizational success by using effective leadership techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems. Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Experience with computer aided design software (CAD) or Computer aided design alternative software or BIM software required.
  • 2 years of leadership leading cross-functional teams required.
  • Extensive experience with wood truss design and related software preferred.
  • 6 years of experience in product management or software product development preferred.
  • Familiarity with software and machinery associated with the component manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Vision: Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
  • Communication: Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members and customers.
  • Teamwork: Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or relevant experience required.
  • Motivating Others: Ability to lead others in a positive and effective way that leads to high reward results.
  • Organization: The ability to arrange resources to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify the information needed to solve problems effectively.

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job may require domestic travel up to 20% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Boulder, CO; remote work will be considered.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay

$89000 - $129700 / year

* Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
