Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Criminal Justice or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five (5) years of sales, marketing, or lead generation experience.
  • Valid state driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for on-site customer visits and other required travel.
  • Prior experience with criminal justice and treatment systems at the local, state or federal level preferred.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Collaborative abilities with cross-functional team management proficiency.
  • Well-developed reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and to prioritize appropriately with focus on meeting all deliverables, timelines and sales goals.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail with minimal error rates.
  • Ability to do research, interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and create high quality sales contact.
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Ability to quickly learn other software, such as Adobe in Design.
  • Ability to quickly develop working knowledge of Company products and services and to clearly explain all capabilities and benefits.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of criminal justice and treatment systems at the local, state and federal levels.
  • Proficient with negotiation, presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Proficient business writing skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, organization, and time management skills, including the ability to schedule and manage the entire sales lifecycle and related processes.

Responsibilities

Summary

Provides research, planning and support with procurements and other opportunities for the Partnership Development Team utilizing research of federal, state and local jurisdictions to improve retention of existing accounts and secure new business. Works directly to support the Development, Proposals and Finance Teams to contribute to overall business strategey.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees and handles the Administration of CRM (Salesforce or other software platforms). Works closely with the Partnership Development (Sales) Team to ensure CRM is being fully utilized to manage, plan, and report on Sales opportunities.
  • Provides necessary training to all Salesforce users and Management, as needed.
  • Oversees all changes to Salesforce including updates, and mapping of all custom objects and flows in Salesforce.
  • Analyzes current sales and account management processes and recommend improvements, leveraging Salesforce functionalities.
  • Generates reports and insights from Salesforce to help the Sales team focus potential accounts and opportunities.
  • Manages the Proposal entries and revenue reports for accuracy and continued tracking for Management.
  • Maintains market pricing, research and public records reports in Salesforce.
  • Researches and tracks criminal justice jurisdictions nationwide to identify customer needs and develop strategic sales approaches via direct or partner relationships.
  • Collaborates with Partnership Development Directors, the Proposal Director and the Marketing Team to execute strategic sales research and activities.
  • Coordinates internal efforts for launch of new products and services between PDD Team and training, contracts, monitoring, finance and other related departments.
  • Completes statistical analysis regularly and reporting for senior management on a monthly, quarterly or as needed basis. This includes ad hoc reporting, quarterly and annual business reports for Sales and ad hoc reports for departments outside of Sales as needed.
  • Engages existing customers and local partners to identify local criminal justice jurisdictions for potential sales campaigns. Communicates the features and benefits of Company products and services available to meet customer needs.
  • Arranges and participates in on-site customer visits, sales presentations and trade conferences to educate customers about the features and benefits of Company products and services.
  • Passes leads onto Partnership Development Directors and local partners to ensure follow up.
  • Manages, tracks and reports on sales opportunities and conversions resulting for job efforts using Salesforce.com.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
