Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Water Truck Driver to work at our Castle Rock, CO location. The Water Truck Driver operates a water truck for dust suppression purposes in accordance with customer requirements and environmental regulations.

Pay: $23-30

Shift: 7am-5pm occasional nights and weekends

Responsibilities

The Water Truck Driver will:

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections along with routine greasing, oiling, and fueling
• Idle vehicle engine before driving and when stopping
• Load and transport water to suppress dust on local and plant roads
• Ensure truck is properly loaded using hoses
• Spray water in designated areas
• Monitor changes in truck performance and reports potential malfunctions to maintenance
• Use a two-way radio to communicate with mill personnel and other site personnel
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle
• Maintain records
• Meet customer service requirements
• Comply with all safety regulations and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class B CDL
• Tankers Endorsement
• Ability to operate a water truck
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Basic Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate via radio and ability to read and write
• Ability to sit, stand, walk and work outside for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds
• Ability work at elevated heights and have good eye-hand coordination
