The primary objective of this role will be to drive market adoption of a disruptive technology, focusing on new product development through feedback collected from customers and based on market analysis, and the execution of go-to-market strategies for new products through education and implementation with internal and external customers. . Customer support should remain paramount for both the external customer as well as the sales force.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support launch of new products from conception to market launch through full product life cycle.
  • Responsibility for market release documents, video, audio training aids and all marketing materials.
  • Attend major conventions to meet with customers (sales mgmt, reps & surgeons) attend training lectures and react to any significant trends emerging new technology.
  • Meet with surgeons involved in new product development projects and hospital staff.
  • Utilizes the sales force to extract competitive activity, extract new product opportunities, identify new markets and trends, implements value testing trials with key customers and follow up on sales questions on a day to day basis.
  • Support product phase-outs and those products affected by cannibalization, such as scrap or excess inventory, in order to minimize negative impact to the business.
  • Meet sales and gross profit goals set forth by the Marketing Business Plan.
  • Provide monthly tracking reports of brand sales versus forecast for the product groups as it applies to service.
  • Understand our position in the competitive medical device industry as it applies to our specific area of influence to maintain and grow market superiority.
  • Prepare and conduct web-cast training.
  • Provide sound market research data supporting conclusions, recommendations, trends and market changes that impact the SPG, and where company focus is required, he/she prepares tactics and strategies.
  • Approximately 20% travel.
  • Must be able to meet credentialling requirements to gain access to healthcare facilities.
  • Provide technical and clinical support during product trials and implementations.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years marketing, sales or product management experience, or MBA, or equivalent experience in the medical device industry.
  • BA/BS, degree in Business or Marketing preferred. MBA desirable.
  • located near Denver site or willing to relocate

This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship. Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range is 65,000-105,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
