Job Description
ARES Corporation seeks a candidate to participate in an engineering team to model and analyze missile defense hardware and/or operational risks using Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and Reliability techniques.

Work location is at customer facilities in Littleton, CO or Huntsville, AL. This position has the potential to be hybrid for well qualified candidates.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop complex PRA models along with technical expertise in the hardware and operations under analysis.
  • Develop event trees and fault trees to capture scenario-based failure models.
  • Develop system reliability estimates based on design, design heritage, test and operational data using statistical techniques.
  • Assess test and operational data for aging trends and develop aging models for reliability prediction.
  • Develop software reliability predictions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Good analytical and creative problem solving skills for system evaluation
  • Ability to operate under the technical direction of senior analysts.
  • Good communication skills to communicate to management and customers
  • Good time management and organization skills, with the capability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, and team members
  • Organization skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with missile defense, aerospace or similarly technical systems.
  • Experience conducting PRA, Reliability or other statistics based analyses.
  • Experience with SAPHIRE.

Required Education/Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in engineering, math, or science with 3 years of professional experience in engineering or related technical field.
