Overview

The Product Specialist, Global will report directly to the Senior Manager, Product Innovation, Global, and will serve as a technical leader within the Product Innovation team, focusing on leveraging our core technologies-SharePoint, PowerApps, and ClickUp-to drive innovation and efficiency. This role demands a deep understanding of these platforms to develop, lead, and administer technology solutions that align with our business goals.

The Innovation Product Specialist is a key member of the product management team and plays a vital role in driving the development and success of our company's innovative products. This role demands a visionary capable of leveraging the product lifecycle technology from ideation through to release, collaborating extensively with interdisciplinary teams to align product visions with persona needs and opportunities. The role entails orchestrating the product pipeline, ensuring it resonates with our strategic objectives and leverages our tech stack, including SharePoint, PowerApps, and ClickUp. The role also involves leading projects and programs from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery.

In keeping with Vantage Data Center's values, the Product Specialist will interact with various business units in building a positive digital environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Spearhead the integration and optimization of SharePoint, PowerApps, and ClickUp within our product development processes

  • Perform the administration and ongoing management of our technology stack, including customizations, security settings, and user permissions

  • Lead development and launch of products, enhancements, features, and functionality across the global markets

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, automation, digital information, construction, sustainability, operations, marketing, and communications to bring new products to market

  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and status to stakeholders

  • Lead projects and programs from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery and implementation of new products

  • Lead cross-functional teams in project execution, including project planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking

  • Present and defend your ideas to executives and members of the product development organization

Duties

  • Translate customer needs into business, product, and user experience requirements

  • Spearhead our core technology stack (SharePoint, PowerApps, and ClickUp) to enhance product management which involves scripting for automation, developing custom modules/plugins, and ensuring seamless workflow integrations

  • Oversee the technical aspects of our digital product management, including the configuration, deployment, and ongoing support of our technology stack

  • Continuously analyze and refine workflows within our technology stack to drive efficiency, eliminate bottlenecks, and support the scaling of our operations

  • Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of tech stack optimizations and product health

  • Identify and coordinate the human, financial, and technical resources required for the project, as well as ensure that all team members have the tools and equipment needed to complete their tasks

  • Manage timelines by creating schedules and ensure that all project tasks are completed on time

  • Identify and manage project risks to mitigate potential risks

  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control processes to ensure that outputs meet or exceed the quality standards set by the organization

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years overall work experience preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in product management and development

  • Strong understanding of agile product development processes and methodologies

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and customizing our technology stack. A strong technical background in software development, system administration, product lifecycle management, product architecture, and/or IT project management is critical.

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build, cultivate and leverage personal and professional networks and relationships, develop, and deliver successful presentations, and collaborate and negotiate effectively

  • Ability to think strategically and drive results

  • Experience in the design, construction and delivery of data centers and infrastructure projects is highly desirable

  • Able to collaborate across teams to support colleagues and resolve issues

  • Enjoy working in a fluid, dynamic organization with a minimal amount of direction

  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities

  • PMP, optional

  • National and international travel required is expected to be between 5% and 10% but may vary over time as the business evolves

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado and California market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
