Position Summary:

The Senior Associate, Business Development (OR Associate Director for the right level of experience) is responsible for the execution of all sales support, service, and marketing-related activities for the group. The Senior Associate is responsible for directly supporting the efforts of the Managing Director, and all associated sales and marketing activities. This role is responsible for managing existing relationships and creating new relationships through a consultative sales approach and regular communications (phone calls, emails, etc.). Applicants for this position should have a commercial focus, a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a competitive drive to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist BD team in development and execution of department business plans in support of company goals.
  • Proactively provide sales and service support by assisting with questions, forms/documents assistance, and working as a liaison to help with resolution of operational items.
  • Ability to convert leads into prospects by effectively communicating our product offerings through proactive and consistent follow-up including, but not limited to:
    • Phone calls
    • Email communications
    • Webinars
    • Meetings
    • Presentations
    • Social media posting
  • Continue to develop, organize, and manage CRM database
  • Coordinate scheduling BD appointments and meetings to ensure productive sales days; record/document conversations, activity and meetings.
  • Responsible for managing the process of follow-up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, ensuring timely delivery and follow-through of all items.
  • Understand relevant regulatory environment and act within those parameters.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as needed and assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and customer service skills, with a strong desire to win.
  • Highly motivated, proactive self-starter with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a clear ability to effectively coordinate with a wide variety of professionals at all levels and departments within and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to problem solve independently with limited information.
  • Proven history of organizing information from disparate sources.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Prior experience in a customer-focused sales support role.
  • Working knowledge and passion for financial markets and real estate finance desired.

Education & Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field; or, equivalent work/industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years previous work experience, preferably in the financial services and/or real estate industry
  • FINRA 7 and 63 licenses are a plus
  • Experience working with RIAs is a plus
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Compensation Information: Base salary range is $90,000 to $130,000. This range is estimated for this role; actual pay may be different. This position could be hired as a Senior Associate or an Associate Director depending on the level of experience we find.
