Position Summary

The English Department at MSU Denver seeks a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member to teach composition courses, ENG 1001, 1008, 1009, 1010, and 1020. This is a nine month faculty position beginning Fall 2024.

Responsibilities

This position requires teaching 15 credit hours of first year writing per semester (in person and online) and holding office hours for students

Required Qualifications

MA in Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, or English (with a clear Rhetoric and Composition component)

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated competence in composition college teaching and online instruction. A demonstrated interest in supplemental composition teaching is an advantage. In addition, the candidate must show a demonstrated ability in working with an urban, diverse student body, including students of color and students of diverse ages and cultures.

Salary for Announcement

The salary range for this position is $53,000 - $58,000 at Lecturer level. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, training, and qualifications.
