Core Hours

Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Purpose and Scope

Under general supervision, provide overall facility maintenance support for all Tolmar Facilities. This position is responsible for assisting with monitoring and maintaining the facilities and utility systems for laboratory and manufacturing client groups.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform basic maintenance operations on facility/utility, and HVAC equipment (filter change-out, Log Readings, etc.)
  • Assist Senior Technicians in performing repairs and preventative maintenance activities on equipment and or facilities.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on Plant and Clean Utility Systems.
  • Provide maintenance support for engineering projects.
  • Enter all data into the work order system in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain records that conform to FDA, GMP, and SOP standards.
  • Assist in the development and revision of SOPs.
  • Perform various housekeeping duties (work areas, equipment, mechanical room).
  • Process purchase requisitions and order Preventative Maintenance parts and accessories as required.
  • Maintain cGMP Training as required.
  • Assist with moving and assembly of office furniture, conference room setup, etc..
  • Perform basic facility maintenance and repairs such as plumbing, lighting, and painting.
  • Responsible for assisting with the spare parts inventory for assigned equipment, including monitoring levels and initiating requisitions.
  • Participates in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include but is not limited to the handling of universal waste such as spent fluorescent tubes, spent filters, batteries, and used oil. Respond to spills per CP 030-0202 Chemical Spill Response.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Acceptable driving record and valid Colorado Drivers License required.
  • Skill in computer usage to include Word, Excel and some programming.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair technical and facility equipment.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • High mechanical aptitude; ability to analyze the mechanics of new projects for the most efficient outcome.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Willing to work flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department.
  • Ability to work well with employees and outside contractors.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 4 years' combination of education, training and experience in one of the following: Facilities, Utilities, Equipment, HVAC education or certification, Maintenance Operations or Construction.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following areas; HVAC, Purified/DI Water, steam systems, hot water systems, Clean Utilities (clean steam, Water for Injection, etc.) preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Work environment will include office, outdoors, and mechanical rooms.
  • Requirements may include working evenings, weekends and some holidays as required including being "on-call" as needed
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, squat, kneel and lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience
