JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Primary purpose:

  • Manage, optimize and oversee the marketing, contracting & scheduling of NGL products and residue gas for Tallgrass natural gas gathering and processing.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Market and contract sales of various NGL products and residue natural gas from gathering and processing assets.
  • Manage the scheduling of pipeline and truck transportation of NGLs into and out of processing plants.
  • Manage plant NGL inventories and ensure adequate product deliveries to sustain customer commitments and plant operations.
  • Manage the nominations, scheduling and calculation of imbalances for residue gas from processing plant tailgates while minimizing the pipeline imbalance.
  • Manage the nomination and forecasting of NGLs to the NGL pipeline, as needed.
  • Optimize margins on plant NGLs, field condensate and residue natural gas sales.
  • Optimize NGL plant recoveries and inventories at processing plants.
  • Coordinate between commercial and operations the volumes as needed to optimize and balance processing infrastructure.
  • Dispose of any off-spec supply that appears at processing plants.
  • Assist other functions of natural gas gathering and processing team (Business Development, Commercial, Operations, Accounting, etc.) as required.
  • Maintain and provide analytical data and reports required to facilitate job responsibilities and as requested by management.
  • Facilitate facility outage coordination with customers and Operations.
  • Work with accounting to provide forecasts, new contract updates and marketing information as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and relationships with customers, marketers, processors, suppliers. Service providers and co-workers.
  • Comply with all company requirements including internal accounting/auditing control requirements related to this position.
  • Deal effectively with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Take on assignments of other duties and special projects, as needed.
  • Work non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Maintain a high regard for safety.
  • Foster a positive open work environment and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Minimum requirements:


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business or a related discipline.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 5 years in crude oil, natural gas and/or NGL marketing and scheduling.
  • Proficient negotiation skills, and data analysis presentation of on-going and future market conditions/competition to maximize margins
  • Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must possess general understanding of how corporate policies, procedures and practices relate to Tallgrass Energy, associated business units and internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving competitive environment that may include handling sensitive company and customer information.

Work Location:

  • Preference for position to be located in Lakewood, CO. Open to Houston, TX, but position will need to regularly report to Lakewood, CO and travel as needed.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

  • Ability to accomplish assigned tasks timely.
  • Comfortable taking a proactive customer approach when required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and proper prioritization daily work

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional overnight and weekend travel may be required.
  • Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
  • Previous experience with Commercial Operations and / or Business Development within the NGL, crude and / or natural gas industry.
  • Previous direct external customer relations management experience.
  • Previous experience with gathering and processing facilities.
  • Previous NGL and natural gas experience including scheduling and transportation experience with NGLs and natural gas.
  • Proficiency with various interstate pipelines scheduling websites.
  • Working knowledge of NAESB Standard and Guidelines as it relates to Nominations, Confirmations and Scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of each Tallgrass Gas Interstate Pipeline's tariff specifically focusing on the services and scheduling areas.
