The Leave of Absence Admin is responsible in supporting the leave of absence administrative and operational requirements This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: leave of absence, benefits, payroll, teammate relations, welcome wagon and/or workers compensation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Leave of Absence Email box. This includes responding to emails and/or forwarding email to appropriate person.

  • Investigating claims and determining root cause of issues that may arise including problem solving for any pay discrepancies.

  • Process state filing forms.

  • Process employment forms and requests.

  • Processing benefits mail.

  • Processing PTO Donation and Military Payments.

  • Reviewing medical and religious exemptions.

  • Opening new ADA or Leave claims for Leave of Absence Case Manager.

  • Supporting Leave of Absence Case Managers where needed.

  • Partnering with other departments including legal, payroll, teammate relations, Welcome Wagon, and worker's compensation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent

  • 2+ years of related experience

  • Thorough understanding of compliance issues (legal/regulatory) including comprehensive knowledge of FMLA, ADA and other federal/state regulations and state-specific leave

  • Excellent knowledge of application and interpretation of Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other federal, state and local laws and regulations governing disabilities and medical procedures

  • Excellent working knowledge of return to work (RTW) and/or job accommodation procedures

  • Good technical knowledge of claims management procedures

Salary/ Wage Range

$20.43-$30.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
