Resident Service Specialist

The Resident Services Specialist is responsible for handling a variety of general office duties along with managing and organizing resident concierge services, greeting and directing future residents and guests to the appropriate BH team members, and assisting office team as needed. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides effective customer service to all prospective tenants, current residents and property staff by utilizing in-depth knowledge of the property and its functions.
  • Maintains appearance of leasing area and lobby.
  • Assisting with planning and implementation special functions and resident activities.
  • Maintains information concerning construction projects, rehab upgrades, amenities, facilities, services and activities for the community.
  • Handles appropriate check-in procedures for residents and guests.
  • Communicates with residents regarding needs, and to periodically follow up completed service requests.
  • General office administrative duties including answering phones, emails, written correspondence, and managing incoming mail for the property.
  • Assist with leasing job duties, including touring prospective residents and preparation of lease agreements, as directed to meet business need.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer knowledge/office equipment skills
  • Excellent attention to details, organizational/multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast- paced environment
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers
  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • Where required by law, must have state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe required by law

Work Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (will vary based on property needs).

Physical Requirements/Environment: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This job generally operates in a professional office environment, but may also occasionally operate in an outdoor environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time, occasionally move about the office, constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, communicate regularly and effectively with others, both written and verbally, and may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

This position requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

The ability and means to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane may be required.
