Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing quality control review of the servicing of loans originated by HomeAmerican Mortgage (HMC).

Responsibilities

The Quality Control Auditor - Servicing performs monthly validation of HMC's servicing practices to validate that they comply with applicable regulatory and agency requirements in the following areas:

    Loan Onboarding

  • Default management and collection activities

  • Credit reporting

  • Disputes, complaints, and inquiries

  • Escrow accounts administration

  • MIP remittance

  • Payment processing

  • Periodic and annual statements

  • Servicing transfers

The Quality Control Auditor - Servicing is responsible for selecting an appropriate sample of loans to audit, identifying and delivering risk-based findings during the audit process, and preparing and presenting monthly audit reports to management. The Quality Control Auditor - Servicing must be organized and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines with accurate results.

Requirements

Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience and must have knowledge in mortgage underwriting principles and Federal regulations/agency (FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) guidelines pertaining to mortgage servicing.

Experience requirement: Experience requirement: Minimum 3 years' experience in mortgage banking fields of servicing and/or quality control or related field. Must have analytical problem-solving skills. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ACES Quality Management & Control software and Finastra's Servicing Director software preferred.

Compensation

* Base Salary: $55,000-65,000

* FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

* Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
