Responsibilities

Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services.

The ECT Department is fast-paced and interactive. The right candidate with demonstrate quick decision making, self-motivation, and responsiveness.

The ECT Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care while coordinating with the treating Psychiatrist and Anesthesiologist. The ECT RN provides nursing care before, during, and after ECT treatment. The ECT RN Provides emergent nursing care in the event of medical crisis/emergency, makes patient & task assignments to LPN's MHT's and others while monitoring their performance of duties. The ECT RN Provides training & education to staff, patients, families, & others. The ECT RN is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice in the ECT Department. ECT treatment days are currently Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and the department is closed on Thursdays and the weekends.

Qualifications

  • The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
  • One-year prior psyciatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred.
  • Licensure and registration by the Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies as a registered nurse.
  • Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification. ACLS certification MUST be current upon hire. BLS training is provided during training period.
