Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year general warehouse experience.
  • Inventory control experience preferred.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Understanding and use of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility with the ability to shift priorities as needed.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Working Conditions: Encountered on a regular basis as part of the work this job performs.

  • Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Some work done in shipping and receiving area with exposure to outdoors conditions.
  • Use of standard office equipment such as computer, keyboard, telephone, fax machine and copier.
  • Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack and lift equipment to stock & issue inventory.
  • Ability to climb and balance to use ladder to manage inventory.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, squat, bend, crouch or crawl and reach with hands or arms to stock & issue inventory.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds to stock and issue inventory.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision to manage inventory, maintain warehouse safety and perform computer work.

Responsibilities

Summary

Responsible for the receipt, issuance and maintenance of material inventory to ensure manufacturing and product service needs are met.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Stocks incoming parts, rotates stock as needed, issues parts to production and product service departments. Performs data entry to maintain accurate and current inventory records.
  • Assists shipping department by pulling supply orders, boxing for shipment and forwarding to shipping.
  • Assists with performing cycle counts of existing inventory to verify accuracy of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Responsible for maintenance of warehouse.
  • Assists shipping and receiving department with workload as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
