About the Team

Our team is focused on in-house product development including hardware, software platform, and mobile applications. We strive to deliver connected experiences to customers in a fast and iterative development process. Job Description Summary
As a Sr Software Engineer on the IoT platform team you will be working on cutting edge technology in the hardware and software world. You will be building a common platform that supports multiple connected products, mobile applications. You will also help deliver functionality based on geo location, push notifications, device management, and user management while prioritizing privacy and security of customer data.
You will be interacting with product managers to help them discover technology features and capabilities, advise them on feasibility, and provide estimates. You will be working with hardware engineers to consume device data, manage devices and send data to the devices. You will be working with mobile developers to provide API's that drive mobile features.
Test driven development will be your foundation for delivering quality code at source with unit tests and integration tests. You will own the delivery of your code from end-to-end, automating continuous integration and delivery.

This role is available in any of our major HUBS: Bellevue, WA; Overland Park, KS; Frisco, TX; Herndon, VA; Denver, CO and Atlanta, GA and offers three days of in person collaboration!

Skills Required
  • Proficiency in Java or C# or similar object-oriented language
  • Expertise in developing scalable APIs while considering security (authentication and authorization) and privacy standard methodologies
  • Experience in hosting cloud applications in Azure or AWS platforms or similar IaaS provider
  • Automated testing of code, build pipelines and delivery
  • Experience in Document Database (Cosmos DB/MongoDB/Cassandra), proficiency in SQL
  • Understanding of internet protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP and networking and security standards
  • Production support and reliability engineering, monitoring, and alerts
  • Software systems design, design patterns, OOPS concepts
Skills Desired
  • Experience in providing APIs to mobile apps
  • Familiarity with big data, streaming analytics
  • Azure IoT Hub or AWS IoT knowledge
  • Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, Marathon, Swarm)
  • Experience with geo location data

Qualifications
  • 5 plus years of cloud-based API development experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in STEM faculties

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Colorado Pay Range: $131,100-$177,400

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. o At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
