Our location currently supports a portfolio of four different NASA human space flight programs (Exploration Ground Systems, Deep Space Logistics [aka Gateway], Commercial Crew Program, Human Landing System Ground Operations) as part of Aerospace's support to all of NASA's human space flight programs.This position is just one of many which is providing expertise to NASA and we have similar tasks at Marshall Space Flight Center/Johnson Space Center.

This position is a part-time/casual position and will be located at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This position is hybrid requiring roughly 2 days onsite.

THIS IS A PART TIME/ CASUAL POSITION

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support any of Aerospace's NASA business partners at Kennedy Space Center and sometimes beyond.
  • Provide experienced technical and programmatic expertise in the development and operation of human space flight programs and sometimes independent analyses of existing and developing programs and system(s) designs.
  • This job is just one of many which is providing expertise to NASA and we have similar tasks at Marshall Space Flight Center and Johnson Space Center.
  • Provide the expertise which is needed to support NASA's return to the Moon and on to Mars for the collective benefit of all humanity.
  • Work with NASA to draft, develop, and implement program plans and technical design requirements, and then help perform verification & validation of designs and plans to support NASA's human space flight programs and initiatives.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed. This position can be called upon at any time to provide expertise in a wide variety of roles which support human space exploration.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Science, or another related STEM discipline
  • 15 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a system engineering and/or program management environment
  • An understanding of how space flight programs are run and managed
  • Exhibit high level of innovation, creativeness, team-building, and self-initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • Willing to travel domestically approx. 10%.
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
