Position Overview:

Methane is the "now" climate pollutant. Atmospheric concentration of methane is at an all-time high, with an unprecedented rate of increase. Methane is responsible for 30 percent of global warming to date and the US oil and gas sector is a key driver. Existing federal policy is insufficient for reducing methane at the speed and scale needed. Now, we have an opportunity to take major action on methane by fully measuring emissions, securing strong state-level policies, and activating key market actors to eliminate the worst of wasted methane emissions. Combined, these efforts can benefit our planet, consumers, and our national security.

This position will focus on designing and implementing a strategy to secure strong state and federal policies to reduce methane emissions from the U.S. oil and gas sector.

As a Manager, you will work closely with and under the direction of RMI's Principals and Managing Directors to design strategies and execute projects that deliver meaningful impact for the planet. Your job will be to lead a team to execute on the project vision, providing day-to-day project leadership and mentoring your team.
