Job Summary:

The Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates with strong research plans at the intersection of basic and bioinformatic analysis in the field of Immunology and Microbiology are encouraged to apply. Examples of interest include genetic, chemical and metabolite profiling, studies of the role of nutrition in microbial and immune processes, application of bacterial genetics and chemoinformatics to regulate the microbiome, and network-based model building to predict metabolic pathways and signaling in inflammation and pathogenesis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a strong extramurally funded research program Conduct an interdisciplinary research program using innovative approaches to address genetic and environmental determinant of the microbiome which impact the immune system in health and disease
  • Contribute to the teaching, mentoring and service missions of the Department

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the biomedical sciences
  • Excellent record of research productivity
  • Accomplishments and publication spanning biomedical and computational sciences
  • Completed bioinformatics projects, software, tools, or systems

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$125,000 to $135,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
