Your Job

As a Crate Builder at John Zink in Tulsa, Oklahoma, your primary responsibility will be to locate and review job folders and construct crates according to specifications. You will ensure the accurate matching of parts on the shipping list with the crated parts, taking pictures of all parts during the crating and shipping process.


Shift

Second: Monday - Thursday, 2:30pm to 1:00am PLUS a $3.00 shift premium



What You Will Do

  • Locate and review job folders and build crates to specification.
  • Match parts on shipping list with crated parts to ensure all parts are accounted for.
  • Take pictures of all parts being crated or shipped.
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
  • Fabricate tile crates with properly installed vents.
  • Load trucks and account for all parts loaded, taking pictures after loading.
  • Submit lumber usage sheets daily for accurate inventory.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of shipments by communicating with shop personnel.
  • May be assigned to other areas, projects, or duties as required by business needs


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools, including nail guns, staple guns, saws, drills, etc.
  • Experience reading and using a measuring tape proficiently, as well as to apply basic math skills

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
  • Previous experience in crate building or carpentry
