Amada is hiring a Mechanical Engineer who must be a seasoned, proven performer, with expansive knowledge of Amada line of equipment and systems. Performs a variety of engineering work in the design of new products and makes improvements to existing products. Deep knowledge in engineering calculations. May evaluate products, parts or processes for cost efficiency and reliability and ensure project completion. As required by the business, works closely with other members of the engineering disciplines in the development and application of Material Handling equipment to increase production quality, efficiency, or volume. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must have shown specific ability in resolving customer problems and questions and insuring customer satisfaction while demonstrating a high regard for the mutual best interests of the customer and the Amada. Provides functional and technical support to Sales and Service Engineers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participates, under minimum supervision, in broad assignments requiring appreciable originality and integrity with some latitude for unreviewed decisions.
  • Plans and works on varied engineering assignments. Monitors the engineering work of part of a major project or a project of lesser complexity and importance.
  • Conducts the development of each assignment.
  • May lead and direct the works of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity is expected.
  • Independent control and direction by the use of intellect, initiative, skill and independent judgement.
  • Confers with supervisor on unusual matters.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Management.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

  • Engineering Manager

SUBORDINATE STAFF:

  • None.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • BS degree in area of specialty, minimum
  • Materials, GD&T, Engineering calculations,
  • AutoCAD, Solid Works

PAY RATE: $75,000.000-$95,000.00

EXPIRIENCE:

  • 6-8 years in the field or related area

TRAVEL:

  • Occasional (1 to 3 times per month, including extended stays)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Lifting: Average Weight: 10-50 lb.
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Requires ability to bend, lift, stoop, reach, stand, crawl, and climb.
