Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team. This finance candidate is expected to support our North American Sales Leader and North American Market Segment Leaders to help drive strategic business decisions and grow revenues.

This position will be located in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence Sales strategy through analytical skills and business acumen
  • Form a strategic partnership with Sales Leadership team to deliver on business and financial objectives
  • Preparation of presentations for leadership include monthly forecasts, annual sales planning
  • Influence business decisions through monitoring of sales forecast performance, analysis of product mix, participation in demand planning and performing regional profitability assessments
  • Actively contribute to the annual operating plan including sales and marketing investment planning, sales forecasts, and daily/weekly/quarterly sales outlook
  • Provide timely reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and commentary on business performance and other ad hoc requests from the Sales Function.
  • Perform financial modelling on regional expansion business cases
  • Proactively challenge existing finance processes & practices, and drive process change and improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree education in Finance, Accounting or other business-related discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of Finance or Business Analyst experience
  • Prior experience in performing financial modelling, strategic planning, and KPI dashboards to influence and evaluate financial performance
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills, including success with working in cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a global environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Understand data / reporting structures to aid in financial reporting needs
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and inventory costing methods
  • Ability to travel 5 to 10%, or travel could minimal

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or other equivalent degree in post graduate education
  • Working knowledge of COGNOS, TM1, Tableau, Power BI, SAP, Oracle or other similar financial analytics tool.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
